Portfolio: The Legacy in Progress

Published Articles

My early work includes articles published in The Bremerton Sun, where I covered music journalism, cannabis advocacy, and human-interest features. Clippings and excerpts will be added soon to showcase this foundational work in independent media.

Sköld Legacy Creative Publishing

I have authored and published over twelve books across various genres — including word search puzzle collections, mindfulness journals, photographic archives, and historical travel narratives. Links to available works through Amazon KDP and independent publishers will be updated soon.

Photography and Genealogy Projects

Three Swedes in a Model T: A historical travel photography project following my grandfather’s 1931 cross-country journey. Superstition Mountain Series: Fine art photography of Arizona’s mystical landscape. Healing through Crochet and Ancestry: Personal projects honoring creativity, generational healing, and indigenous reclamation.

Genealogical Research

My genealogical research focuses on documenting my St. Regis Mohawk ancestry for CDIB application purposes. This archive includes records of Elias Thompson’s 1862 Civil War service, Emily Violet Thompson’s marriage in 1902, listings on the 1907 Indian Census Rolls, and Emily V. Velie’s 1922 death record. This section will also highlight broader family history research across generations.

Cannabis Archive and Advocacy

As an early advocate in the cannabis legalization movement, I worked for NORML National, wrote for High Times and Cannabis Culture, and served as an assistant to Ed Rosenthal. I attended the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam alongside activist Patti Smith, documenting the early movement from a woman’s perspective. My Cannabis Archive includes rare photographs, THC TV appearances, and excerpts from my manuscript Freedom Fighter, soon to be available for viewing.

Pot TV Features

I contributed content and made appearances on Pot TV during the early 2000s, helping build one of the first alternative cannabis media platforms during the early days of independent internet journalism.

THC TV Seattle Appearances

My work with THC TV Seattle further solidified my presence in the independent media scene, capturing the fight for legalization and justice during a critical time for activist journalism.

Stay tuned — more photos, videos, articles, and archives are being digitized and will be available soon. Thank you for visiting Sköld Legacy Creative.
